Test the Billing Demo
Use the public demo to try a test checkout, then check Billing and the protected example. The demo uses Stripe test mode or Polar sandbox: no real money is charged, and a demo purchase does not buy CoreMVP. Do not enter a real payment card.
Choose a checkout
| Demo | Plans | Account |
|---|---|---|
| Lifetime | Individual or Team | Signed in or guest |
| Subscription | Starter, Pro or Business; monthly or yearly | Sign in first |
For a subscription, create an account with an inbox you can access, confirm the signup email when prompted, and sign in. Use a fresh account without another purchase or subscription when you want to check that a particular subscription grants access. An existing lifetime purchase or another eligible subscription can also grant access.
Complete a test payment
Select a provider and plan
On either pricing page, open Test payment details and choose Stripe or Polar. Select your plan; for a subscription, choose Monthly or Yearly before opening checkout.
Pay with the test card
Enter 4242 4242 4242 4242, any future expiry, and any three-digit CVC, such as 123. If checkout asks for an address, use a test address such as 123 Test Street, San Francisco, CA 94102, United States. For guest lifetime checkout, use an inbox you can access.
These values are for interactive testing. See Stripe test cards and Polar sandbox payments.
Check your account and access
If you checked out as a guest, open the application's purchase confirmation email, follow its account-setup link, set a password, and sign in. Signed-in buyers do not need that setup link.
Open Billing and check the saved purchase or subscription. Open the protected example while signed in. Sign out and revisit it to see the paywall again. A checkout success page alone does not grant access: the verified payment must be saved first.
Understand the emails
Signup confirmation and purchase confirmation have different jobs. Confirm a new signup before signing in when prompted. After a verified payment, the application sends a purchase confirmation; the guest lifetime version includes the account-setup link. A provider receipt does not replace either action.
Polar also sends its own customer-facing sandbox emails only to members of the sandbox organization or their plus-address aliases. This restriction applies to Polar's emails, not the application's signup or purchase confirmation. A public visitor who is not a member should not expect a Polar receipt. See Polar sandbox limitations.
If an expected application email does not arrive, check spam and the address used. If checkout returns successfully but Billing or protected content has not updated, wait for payment processing and check again. Contact support if the result still does not appear.
Test your own app
The public demo is a manual walkthrough of a maintained deployment. To configure and test your own app, choose Stripe or Polar and follow the matching lifetime or subscription testing guide. Those guides describe the local end-to-end suites and their prerequisites. The hosted automated billing suites currently exercise Stripe test mode; hosted Polar sandbox checkout is a separate manual check. A demo checkout does not prove your own deployment, real email delivery, or live-payment readiness.
